Bevis the Giant is a painting made by artists from the Figment Arts Studio and members of the public over the course of 1 day.  Around 40 people have collaborated to create this painting.

All of the profits from our sales go back into running our supported artists studio project, helping us to sustain this vital project.  Thank you for your support!

Sir Bevis of (South) Hampton was a knight whose troubled childhood began when his cruel mother had his father killed and sold him to pirates, who took him to Armenia. There, he grew into a brave warrior and won the love of Princess Josian after slaying a dragon, and she gifted him a loyal horse named Arundel who would only carry him. Together with Josian and later a giant named Ascapart—who first helped them escape danger but ultimately betrayed Bevis and died in a failed attack—they travelled on many adventures before returning to England. Bevis later won a great horse race, using the prize to build a castle in Sussex named Arundel Castle after his faithful companion, who remained by his side into old age.
