Sussex Bay – Animation Project

We were delighted to be work on a series of short, accessible animated videos based on the Sussex Bay Blueprint. These animations are co-produced with autistic and learning disabled artists from the Figment Arts Studio.

We produced an Easy Read version of the report and artists selected a section of the report to turn into a short animated scene.

The animation sessions gave us time to learn new software together, we shared problem-solving and collaborated to produce the video below.

The Sussex Bay project is a large environmental and community project focused on the Sussex coastline.  It brings together councils, charities, scientists, and local people to restore the sea, coast, and rivers along about 100 miles of shoreline—from Selsey to Camber Sands.

Sussex Bay Stories was co-produced with learning disabled, autistic and neurodivergent artists.  The animation features the work of Debbie, Revell, Jake, Yvonne, Terry, Kirsty, Eliph, Sarah and Sam.
